Jumpman, Jumpman, Jumpman, them boys up to something.
And by them boys, we specifically mean Drake, whose newest collaboration with the Air Jordan brand already has sneakerheads in a tizzy. Shoe Collector reports that the all-black "OVO" Air Jordan Xs will be released in 2016 with an expected price tag of $225. The kicks were previously an exclusive to Drizzy’s friends and fam, apart from a very limited release in April at the OVO pop-up store in L.A.
No further details have been made public about the actual launch date, likely because Nike loves a good surprise. The brand memorably dropped the all-white Air Jordan X Retro "OVO” design in September without warning. As expected, the sneakers sold out just as quickly, so it’s safe to say that it may be a fight to get your hands on the newest colorway.
Outside his growing sneaker empire, Drake’s stronghold on music hasn’t been tighter. The Toronto rapper is still riding high off the release of his mixtape with Future, What a Time to Be Alive, and the meme goldmine that is “Hotline Bling.” Not to mention, the rumblings continue to grow over the impending release his forthcoming LP, Views From the 6.
