Rihanna Plays Director for Stance Holiday Campaign

Watch Rih work it behind the camera yet again.

In recent months, Rihanna’s been largely out of the spotlight as she puts the finishing touches on her new album, Anti, but don’t think that she’s hung up her bad gal antics. On November 19, the “FourFiveSeconds” singer dropped her 2015 Holiday collection with the designer sock brand Stance.

In two behind-the-scenes campaign videos posted to Instagram, Rih is seen calling the shots on set. “Straighten that leg” and “put some weight on your left [foot],” she says in her charming Barbadian accent to the leggy models. A focused Rih then scopes out the angles before adding approvingly, “?Take a break, take a break!”

It’s not the first time the pop icon has stepped behind the lens. She notably directed the controversial video for “B***h Better Have My Money,” so we’re certainly interested to see how her directorial pursuits play out in the future.

In terms of the socks themselves, do expect the signature edginess that made her a household name. The standouts are the aptly-named “Frosty” and “Fro$t Bite” styles — sheer, boudoir-inspired stockings in shades of white, wine and black and trimmed with flirty feather boa details (they come in ankle and over-the-knee length, both $24 each).

Then there’s the selection of knit graphic prints, such as the ever-so-cheeky “Pimp Claus” ($20), which depicts a scantily-clad Mrs. Claus-esque temptress. “Carols” ($20) flaunts a sheer, shimmery finish and tiny bells around the ankles. Because, after all, it’s not the holidays without some jingle bells.
