Of Course A$AP Rocky and Naomi Campbell Make a Hot Couple

What happens when you team one of fashion's most iconic faces with hip hop’s budding style mogul? Turn to POP Magazine’s new issue and it’s all too clear.
Naomi Campbell and A$AP Rocky are boo’d up in the magazine’s 34th issue for a spread showing off Rocky’s forthcoming GUESS Originals collaboration. And while it may be only for a photo shoot and not real life, the stars are pictured in various stages of snuggling while donning pieces from the ‘90s-inspired collection. And it’s kinda fitting, as Naomi herself is a former GUESS model, that the black-and-white images evoke the pared-down sensuality of the decade.
The “Fashion Killa” rapper admitted he took cues from the designs GUESS made famous throughout that decade and even had a chance to scour their archives for inspiration. "I actually went into their archive and picked those pieces. I went in," he told The Cut. His other influences, from his favorite rappers to ‘90s movies, tied it all together.
“I think growing up in New York City, you get insight on all the urban brands, especially when you live between Harlem and the Bronx. I remember seeing Nautica, GUESS, Tommy Hilfiger and Polo, Cross Colors, all that stuff. I remember seeing all these brands and thinking, 'Man, nobody ever remembers Fila and all these other brands, and what they meant to hip-hop back then,'” he said. “So I was watching Menace II Society and I remember rappers like Nas rapping about GUESS, seeing André 3000 and Wu-Tang members and whatnot, and Tupac in GUESS, it just made me feel like these kids, they should know about it right now.”
