Riccardo Tisci x Nike Summer Collab Is Too Chic to Stay in the Gym

See Travis Scott, Joan Smalls and more slay the campaign.

Athleisure is headed to a whole new level with the debut of Nike's Summer of Sport collaboration with celebrity-favorite designer Riccardo Tisci. Images of the NikeLab x RT: Training Redefined collection dropped today and is clearly too pretty to sweat in.

Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross, Travis Scott, Fetty Wap and supermodel Joan Smalls rock the edgy, floral-inspired threads in a high-fashion shoot for Vogue magazine.

“This collection represents an entirely new way of thinking for Riccardo,” says NikeLab Senior Design Director Jarrett Reynolds. “It is engineered for performance, which is unfamiliar territory for him. But that’s the beauty of collaboration — we can help bring Riccardo into the world of sport performance, which is our expertise. On the other hand, Riccardo’s vision pushed our design to a place we wouldn’t have arrived at on our own.”
The line includes all the tops, pants, shorts/tights combos and sports bras a person who wants to look chic and also be prepared to run a marathon could need. The line will feature two collections, one in Tisci's signature black-and-white aesthetic, and the other with a funkier print of kaleidoscopes and flowers.
“It was interesting… a little bit of a difficult process because to make something that is very dynamic, to do sport and to do activity, and make it strongly recognizable — a fashion statement — is not easy,” Tisci says. “But we achieved something that's amazing. There's a lot of sensuality.”
The full collection will be available for sale in June.
