The moment we've all been waiting for is here... well, sort of. While we are still waiting for a new album to drop, there is some huge news on the BeyHive front, courtesy of Elle magazine. If you're anything like us, you've been gagging in anticipation of Beyoncé's new cover, since Elle teased it yesterday on Instagram for a full 24 hours.
And now we know why.
Beyoncé is not only on the May cover of the legendary fashion doctrine, but she premiered her new sportswear line, Ivy Park, on Instagram. In a rare cover story with the mag, she dishes on all things Ivy Park, freedom, feminism and more.
The new active sportswear collaboration comes to us fully-loaded with iconic body suits, workout headbands, tank tops, crop tops, running pants, and fashionable flip flops. Ladies, if you're going to slay, you must do it in style, right?
We also have to mention that this is not a brand collaboration, but Bey's own self-contained label. When the line does hit stores April 14, you'll be able to shop it exclusively at Net-a-Porter, Topshop, and Nordstrom.
As described on the website, Ivy Park merges "fashion-led design with technical innovation. Creating a new kind of performance wear: Modern essentials for both on and off the field."
Along with the bad**s stills of Bey contorting her body through a series of exercises is a poignant video designed to inspire your inner #beastmode. Taking us to the park that her father once took his daughter with dreams of stardom, the 34-year-old pop icon reveals that she still visits those grounds that pushed her through the stratosphere.
Plus, there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo from daughter Blue Ivy! The main message, though, is how, even today, Bey uses that park to fuel her determination, and to ask us, the viewer, where is your park?
