MetroRail Wheaton Station Escalator

The MetroRail Wheaton Station on the Red line boasts the longest escalator in the Western Hemisphere. The ride, which lasts about two minutes and 45 seconds, is a 500-ft long climb that takes you up 200 feet to the street level. Afterwards, wander around the Maryland suburb for some South American dining or head right back down 200 feet to go back into the city.
