After giving birth to her third daughter, Madison, in September 2011, Mel B declared she wanted to lose around 33 pounds by New Year's. The singer said she had been exercising, but needed a push to find a healthier diet after “pigging out” during her pregnancy. “I love my humps and bumps, but when a newspaper described my shape as the 'bootylicious, curvylicious, post-baby body of Melanie,' I knew I had to do something. I had to get the eating under control,” she said. Brown found motivation as spokeswoman for Jenny Craig’s Australia and New Zealand branches. “I’m saying to myself I’m going to lose the weight bit by bit. I don’t want to do a crazy diet,” she said.
