Trina - The self-proclaimed “Baddest B---h” has always been known for making the men drool by prominently displaying her goods. But with a new album on the horizon, Trina enlisted the help of celebrity stylist June Ambrose to help her get a new look. "I completely want to transform my everything. I just want a new look from the inside out,” Trina said. “I’m doing a new album; the sound is different. The sound is more poppy, it’s crossover.” June swapped out Trina’s vixen style for a chic, edgier look, bringing Trina to tears…of joy! (Photo: Courtesy Slip N Slide Records)

Nicki Minaj - Nicki’s futuristic “Harajuku Barbie” style marked by pink lipstick and an endless array of colorful wigs has captured the attention of major fashion magazines and many fashion influencers. Just don’t compare her eccentric taste to another quirkily-dressed artist. "Every female in this game wears wigs," she told New York Daily News explaining that her style is not at all inspired by Lady Gaga. "Over-the-top costumes? Eh, try again. It's getting tired now to me. In the beginning I was like, 'Okay it's cool… When they get to know me, they'll understand.' Gaga is a fantastic artist. She’s opened her own lane, but I feel like I have my own lane. And we never cross, ever." (Photo: Courtesy Cash Money Records)

Lil' Kim - No matter what she’s wearing, the original Black Barbie’s outfits permanently exude a sex kitten style. Over the years, Kim has worn enough garter belts, pasties covering her exposed breasts, midriff tops, skin tight jeans, dangerously high hemlines, dangerously low necklines and fishnets. But no matter how provocative The Queen B gets, she always has fun with her fashion. (Photo: Courtesy Interscope Records)

Diamond - Diamond’s sassy street style reminds us of clothes real girls would wear. Dressed up denim outfits, minis that are itching to be shown off in the club and looks with comfy staples like hoodies and sneakers mixed in to give this rapper a varied style that's not overly fussy. We especially like how she pulls off different hairstyles, bobbing and weaving through two-toned dye jobs and other bright colors like blue and crayon red, for fun. Azealia Banks - The “212” rapper has been making waves in the rap industry this year and the fashion industry has also welcomed her with open arms. She kicked off the year performing at iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld's house in January 2012 and he liked her so much he asked her to perform again at a Chanel pop-up store in Japan in March. She made rounds during London Fashion Week, performed at the after party for Kanye West’s Paris Fashion Week and has gotten snapped for GQ, New York  and V magazine. Missy Elliott - With her jumpsuits and baggier clothes, Missy proved that she didn’t have to let it all hang out to compete with other female rappers. Missy’s jewel-encrusted clothing, fresh kicks, finger waves and fly chains gave her a look that made us all do a double take. The rapper recently resurfaced at a Hennessy party in New York rocking style notes similar to her '90s heyday with a track suit and sneakers, but hey, if it ain’t broke… (Photo: Courtesy Atlantic Records)

Da Brat - Da Brat has been known for her tomboy style and has kept it pretty consistent over the years. We appreciate Da Brat for staying true to her own personal style, even in the moments where she was going in a sexier direction. The rapper will undergo a fashion overhaul on an episode of VH1's show Styled by June (Monday April 16, 2012). The episode is called “Da Brat Finds Her Sexy” so we can’t wait to see what’s in store for her next. (Photo: Courtesy So So Def Records)

M.I.A. - M.I.A. has been shocking, entertaining and offending the masses well before her Madonna collabo, the Super Bowl or "Fingergate." Click on to follow M.I.A.'s journey. (Photo: Courtesy Interscope Records)

M.I.A. - M.I.A. developed an early interest in fashion thanks to her mother who was a seamstress in London. Before she even made it in music, M.I.A. studied at notable fashion school Central Saint Martins College in the U.K. and the skills would later help her when she released a well-received fashion line in 2008, just after her sophomore album Kala was released in 2007. With a mash up of playful prints, eclectic jewelry, and bright neon pieces mixed with a hint of grunge, M.I.A.’s style is as unique as her music. She has said that guerilla art and fashion are her biggest muses. (Photo: Courtesy Interscope Records)
