Carmelo Anthony Gave Knicks $6 Million Discount - During the 2013-14 NBA season, Carmelo Anthony vowed to take a pay cut to allow the New York Knicks some financial flexibility. In turn, Knicks president Phil Jackson said he would hold the All-Star forward to his word. Well, after Melo re-signed with the Knicks for a reported $122-$123 million, that discount figures to be $6 million, according to the New York Post. Report: Rondo Wants to Stay in Boston - Boston Celtics president Danny Ainge isn’t saying that Rajon Rondo can’t be traded, but he does want the point guard re-signed and he says Rondo wants that too. “I'm not trying to trade Rondo, but because he's a free agent this summer, he assured me that he wants to stay in Boston. We'd love to keep him in Boston,” Ainge told the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. "The possibility of a trade is not out of the question. Nobody is untradeable, but I don't see that happening.
