Chris Rock Says the Presidential Election Is Getting "Really Mean"

The comedian believes that money is to blame for the negativity.

Comedian and actor Chris Rock doesn't like what's happening on the campaign trail. Thanks to outside money, the odds are that the 2012 presidential campaign will be the costliest and ugliest ever. And in his opinion, money may give one candidate an unfair advantage over the other.

“I wish we didn’t have to stoop to this level. I wish they made it like a real fight. I mean, we’re watching the Olympics right now and everything is fair,” said Rock, who supports President Obama, on CBS This Morning on Thursday. “I wish both guys could only spend the exact same amount of money and let the best man win.”

The comedian also is predicting that the worst is yet to come.

“It’s getting really, really, really mean,” he said.
