Monica Lewinsky Scandal

In 1998, Clinton was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives in connection with a sexual relationship he had with a White House intern named Monica Lewinsky. Clinton was found not guilty on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice by the U.S. Senate, and despite pervasive media attention on the scandal and trial, Clinton's approval ratings among the American public remained high. He remains one of the most popular presidents in U.S. history.
