At a campaign event in September 2008, Biden recognized then-Missouri state Sen. Chuck Graham in the crowd, and asked him to "stand up and let 'em see you." The awkward moment comes when Biden remembers that Graham is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. "What am I talking about? I'll tell you what, you're making everybody else stand up, though, pal," Biden said in a failed recovery.
