Claim: Romney Claims Obama Raised Taxes on the Middle Class
FALSE: "Unlike President Obama, I will not raise taxes on the middle class," the GOP presidential candidate said during his Republican National Convention address. Fact-checkers debunked Romney's claims with a number of major tax cuts Obama has introduced in his presidency, including the payroll tax cut that saved Americans as much as $2,200 a year.
