Toronto Mayor Knocks Over Colleague During Meeting

The beleaguered mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, today left council colleagues floored, literally when he physically opposed the latest vote to relieve him of his remaining powers of office and his budget.

The beleaguered mayor of Toronto Rob Ford left council colleagues floored, literally, when he physically opposed the latest vote to relieve him of his remaining powers of office and his budget. 

Bedlam broke out at a council meeting when Ford reacted angrily to jeers from the floor as fellow councilmen and women shouted “shame, shame” and called once again for his immediate resignation.   

It’s reported that the debate was in motion when Ford stormed the floor and knocked a fellow colleague to the ground. Following the incident, a recess was called and security officers were called in. You can watch the video below.

Since admitting to smoking crack cocaine just a few weeks ago, Ford’s career and personal life have come under increased global scrutiny.
