How Did the CAR Government Respond?

President Francois Bozizé has asked for international help with containing the rebels and says that he is ready for peace talks, organized by regional leaders in Gabon, without conditions.

The CAR army is unable to fight the rebels alone because it is historically underfunded and lacks equipment.
