“Anarchy Is Over”

Despite the killings in January, interim President Alexandre-Ferdinand Nguendet said the conflict between Muslims and Christians in Central African Republic is over. The predominantly Christian country’s former Muslim President Michel Djotodia and Prime Minister Nicolas Tiengaye stepped down on Friday. During Djotodia’s term in office, thousands have been killed, with more than 1,000 deaths since last month. CAR has two weeks to search for a new leader.
