An Anti-Capitalist Congo

Led by Sassou Nguesso, Congo signed a 20-year pact of friendship and cooperation with the Soviet Union, aligning the country with the Eastern Bloc. Nine years later, PCT, the Congo’s sole legitimate party, abandoned Marxism.
