Crew Trapped at Sea for 1,000 Days Rescued From Pirates

After being held captive by Somali pirates for almost three years, the Panama-flagged MV Iceberg was released in December 2012 after a two-week long siege. The Puntland Maritime forces rescued 22 of the original crew members captured in March 2010. One crew member committed suicide while another was killed by pirates in captivity.
