Death Toll Continues to Rise

Officials in the Philippines Friday confirmed that the death toll caused by Typhoon Hiyan has risen to above 5,000.

Aid is now slowly reaching some of the harder-hit regions of the country. Major roadways are being cleared, while shops and banks are resuming their normal opening hours.
