Croatia’s Catholic Church Votes Against Gay Marriage

In a Dec. 1 referendum to ban gay marriage, 65 percent of those who voted answered "yes" to the referendum question: "Do you agree that marriage is matrimony between a man and a woman.” Croatia’s constitution will be amended to ban same-sex marriage as a result of the outcome from the votes.
