Draped in Tradition

In a private ceremony in Qunu, Nelson Mandela's casket is draped with lion skin by local chiefs, as part of rituals belonging to the Xhosa tribe, kin of Mandela's Thembu clan. His grandson Mandla Mandela watches as the tradition is performed. The burial ended 10 days of mourning since Mandela's passing on Dec. 5. (AP Photo/Elmond Jiyane, GCIS)
