Audrey Pulvar

Before becoming France’s first Black female news anchor in 2004, Audrey Pulvar worked as a journalist in Martinique.  Her journey to national French TV was not easy. When she first arrived in 2000, she was told “the French public is not ready" for a nonwhite face to present the news.
