Presidential Elections

Ukraine's presidential race kicked off on March 29 with many looking to the May elections as key step in leading the country out of its deep political crisis. Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and billionaire confectionary tycoon Petro Poroshenko registered as hopefuls. Former heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko shook things up by pulling out of the race to back Poroshenko.
