A Slaughter in Bentiu

The U.N. reported that rebels slaughtered hundreds of people, both civilian and military, in the oil rich Unity State capital Bentiu, based on their ethnic origins and nationality. The fighting took place between the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) and opposition forces mid-April. “Accounts of the attacks shock the conscience,” said a White House statement.
