What Is the Reason Behind the Violence?

Violence in South Sudan erupted because of a political power struggle, which transitioned to ethnic rivalry. Machar accused Kiir of forming a “Dinkocracy,” while Kiir and his supporters insist that Machar, a Nuer, will do anything to get to the top.  Machar announced that he would run for president in 2015.
