President Goodluck Jonathan Says Kidnapping Is the End of Terror

Following weeks of protest from outraged citizens, President Goodluck Jonathan addressed delegates at the World Economic Forum for Africa in the capital, Abuja, on Thursday (May 8) and said that he believes the kidnapping is the “beginning of the end of terror in Nigeria.” Jonathan also thanked China, the U.S., the UK and France for offering assistance in the search for the more than 250 girls who remain missing. He also confirmed that with their assistance Nigeria could move forward with protecting citizens from Boko Haram.
