Bollywood Star Profiled by Airport Security

Indians spoke out against racial profiling by U.S. airport security when the detention of Bollywood film star Shahrukh Khan shined a spotlight on what many say has been a problem for years. Khan was detained by TSA officials for more than two hours after arriving on a private plane at the airport in White Plains, New York, Thursday. The U.S. State Department said the actor had been merely delayed and said the incident was not a case of racial profiling, but the U.S. embassy in Delhi issued a public apology to Khan for "any inconvenience or delay."

"Whenever I start feeling too arrogant about myself, I always take a trip to America,” he said, according to the L.A. Times.
