Three Black Caribbeans Now Part of French Cabinet

In what has been called an unprecedented move for French politics, recently elected President Francois Hollande has appointed three Blacks of Caribbean heritage to be Cabinet ministers.

French Guiana-born Christiane Taubira, left, has been named minister of justice; Victorin Lurel will be the minister charged with overseas departments; and George Pau-Langevin has been named junior minister for educational success.
