Malaria Eradication Possible With Increase in Funds

Dr. David Brandling-Bennett, deputy director of the malaria program at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, spoke out about the spread of malaria, stating that, "The most important challenge is sustaining this effort: continuing to provide nets, making sure that people have access to drugs, that they use the available preventive measures ... in the current economic climate, there is no certainty that funds — from the international community, bilateral or multilateral donors, or even the countries themselves — will continue."
