Kenya Anti-Rape Petition Hits 1 Million

After a 16-year-old girl was gang raped in October and dumped in a pit, police gave her rapists the punishment of cutting grass. The lack of severe discipline sent the nation in uproar as people demanded an investigation regarding the punishment. The demands led to a petition which has acquired more than 1 million signatures to date.
