Nigerian Forces Kill Islamists in Ground and Air Assault

At least 56 Islamist Boko Haram fighters were killed by Nigerian government forces, according to the country’s military on Monday. The battle reportedly took place in Alafa forest Saturday. The Nigerian government has not consistently reported casualties of their own troops in the fighting against the insurgent group for the past four and a half years, according to Reuters(Photo: AP Photo/Sunday Alamba file)
