Violence Erupts in Central African Republic's Capital

Shots rang out from heavy firearms in violence between Christian militias and Muslim Seleka in the north of Central African Republic’s capital Bangui, the government said on Monday. One thousand people this month have been killed in the conflicts between the two groups, as French and government troops continue to act in easing tensions. (Photo: Rebecca Blackwell/AP Photo)
