Soldiers Acquitted in Congo Rape Trial

A rare mass trial of 39 soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo has resulted in two men convicted of rape, while 13 others were cleared. The remaining men were charged with lesser crimes, BBC reported. The charges stemmed from a UN report that claimed that at least 102 women and 33 girls were raped in Minova by the army in November 2012.
