South Africa Union Resume Pay Talks

The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa will continue talks with employers of 220,000 metalworkers who went on strike this week. The union is demanding a 12 percent raise. The Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa offered a 10 percent increase of the lowest-paid workers this year, but NUMSA rejected it. (Photo: REUTERS/Rogan Ward)
