Go Vegetarian to Cut Your Risk of Diabetes

Researchers at Loma Linda University reported in November that by eating a vegetarian diet and exercising at least three times a week, the risk for type 2 diabetes was significantly reduced in African-Americans. The disease has a dramatic impact: It affects 15 percent of all African-Americans aged 20 and older.
