Black Women More at Risk for Sudden Death

Researchers from Harvard’s School of Public Health found that Black female seniors were 61 percent more likely to die from sudden cardiac death than women of other races. Extra weight, especially in the hips and thighs, and previous heart disease were to blame, but the study points out that half of the women had never been diagnosed with heart disease.
