Is Sleep the Solution to Lowering Teen Diabetes Rates?

Diet and exercise can lower one’s risk of developing diabetes, but maybe getting more sleep can too. A new study found that healthy teens that had six hours of sleep a night were more likely to have high insulin resistance, which has been found to increase one’s risk of diabetes. Researchers recommend that all teens get 8-9 hours of sleep each night.
