Is Salt to Blame for Childhood Obesity?
Forty percent of African-American and Latino young people ages 2-19 are overweight and/or obese (30 percent among white children). Obviously a sedentary lifestyle and eating fatty foods are to blame, but a new study also points to salt consumption.
