Heart Health Benefits of Weight Training

Fellas: Weight training isn’t just good for your biceps; it’s good for your heart too, says a new study. Researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago found that lifting weights for just six weeks can “significantly improve blood markers of cardiovascular health in young African-American men,” reported the Providence Journal. Blood markers provide doctors with clues to who is at risk for heart disease.
