The Link Between Abuse, Fibroids and Black Women

Researchers from Boston University’s School of Public Health found that Black women who have experienced childhood abuse had a 16 percent higher risk of developing fibroids — noncancerous tumors in the womb. Past experience of sexual abuse raised the risk a whopping 32 percent, reported Science Blog
