How Much Salt Do We Really Consume?

A recent study found that the average person around the world consumes 4,000 mg of sodium a day, almost three times the 1500mg a day that the American Heart Association recommends. One way to cut back on salt is reading the food labels on processed foods and snacks, they are usually packed with a lot of sodium, says Time.com
