Mississippi Baby “Cured” of HIV

A baby born with HIV appears to have been “cured” of the disease. The 2 1/2-year-old child has been off medication for about a year and has no signs of infection, according to scientists. If the child remains HIV-free and it can be proven that the child was actually HIV-positive, it would mark only the world's second reported cure, writes the Associated Press
