FDA Investigates Wrigley Caffeinated Gum

Wrigley’s Alert Energy Caffeine Gum has been pulled from shelves and all advertising has ceased as the FDA investigates the safety of the company’s new product, says the Associated Press. One stick of the gum is the equivalent of drinking half a cup of coffee. Over the past few years, the FDA has increased its scrutiny on food products and their caffeine levels.
