Why Are Suicide Rates Skyrocketing in the Military?

A recent New York Times article touches on a growing problem among active-duty troops: Suicide. In 2012, there were 350 suicide deaths — that’s twice as many deaths from a decade ago. Recent Pentagon research found that failed relationships, post-traumatic stress disorder, financial issues, past abuse and substance use are major forces in this increase.
