California to Expand Medicaid

More than one million low-income California residents will have health care thanks to the state expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, the New York Times wrote. There are doubts if the state can afford to take on these extra costs, but Democrats call this move “historic.” Many other Southern GOP-run states have rejected Medicaid expansion over the past year.
