NYC Soda Ban Targets Overweight, Not the Poor, Says Study

One of the largest criticisms of the NYC soda ban is that the bill unfairly targets and affects low-income residents, but a new study suggests that it isn’t true. Researchers from Columbia University found that higher-income New Yorkers were just as likely to purchase 16 oz. or larger drinks as lower-income residents, reported Science Daily.
