High Costs of Medical Bills Worry African-Americans

One in three African-Americans has issues paying their medical bills, says a new study. Researchers from NPR, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard School of Public Health found that while cancer and other illnesses cause major damage to the mainstream population’s pocketbooks, among Blacks, chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes topped the list, reported NPR. — Kellee Terrell
