Why Genital Herpes Is Different

Genital Herpes (HSV-2), are sores that are found on the vagina, anus or penile area. HSV-2 is mostly spread through sexual contact, but can be spread by oral sex. Men are more likely to transmit genital herpes to women as opposed to the other way around. Outbreaks can be one sore or a cluster of painful sores that take two to four weeks to heal.
