Blacks Die Sooner After Heart Surgery, Study Says

African-American patients with a certain type of heart diseaseperipheral artery disease — live eight years after heart surgery compared to whites that live 9.5 years longer, according to a new study. Researchers believe that we need better quality health care for people of color and that doctors need to monitor their Black patients more closely, HealthDay wrote
