Is Poor Dental Health Linked to Oral Cancer?
If you have missing teeth, bleeding gums and other examples of poor dental health, you may be more likely to oral human papillomavirus (HPV), writes the New York Times. A new study found that those who reported poor dental health had a 55 percent higher chance of having HPV than those with good dental care. HPV causes cervix, anal, mouth and throat cancers.
